Madison utilizes Design Thinking with consulting to improve quality of work life. She wants to make a difference in people’s lives by inclusively collaborating with others, facilitating design solutions, demonstrating Design Leadership, and enabling others to be Design Leaders. Her mission is to lead, inspire, and promote people-centered strategies in order to create favorable experiences. Madison leverages human-centered design to facilitate collaboration, re-frame problems, discover insights through customer experiences, and iterate for continuous innovation. She practices this daily in her current role at Cummins, applying human-centered design to product development and strategy within the engine business.

Design Leaders have the ability to facilitate innovation and shared understanding with diverse groups. By leveraging that shared understanding to align values we can create a more positive quality of work life, as well as social and financial gains. But what does it really mean to be a design leader? In this workshop I’ll share key design leadership competencies. After sharing the competencies we will collaborate on a design challenge to practice and reflect on our leadership. Even if you don’t consider yourself a designer now, this workshop is for you. Open to all professionals in any industry that would like to learn how to practice and apply design leadership.
